Animals we’ve shared the road with - in one of the busiest cities on earth and on the highway to Rajasthan:
Stray dogs
Stray cows (they become strays when they no longer give milk and people can’t afford to keep them but can’t kill them either)
Water buffalo
Monkeys
Monkeys
Horses
Donkeys
Mules
Goat herds (with shepherd, right in Delhi, far from any farmland)
Mixed sheep and goat herds, vying with shipping trucks and all the other vehicles running on the road that runs beside the highway
Camels hitched to carts
